Here’s the thing with game apps. The minimum matters more than the per-game payout, because a high minimum is where your points go to die.
So this list sorts the Mistplay alternatives by how easy it is to actually get paid. Every one of them is free and pays you to play games, not to deposit money into cash tournaments.
First, what Mistplay actually pays
Mistplay
The one this list gets measured against
- What it is
- A game rewards app. You earn points by playing the games it picks for you.
- What you do
- Download games from its lineup (over 350 of them), keep playing and leveling up, and the points stack.
- How much it pays
- You redeem points in the Mistplay Shop for gift cards like Amazon, Visa, Starbucks, DoorDash or a PayPal gift card. There’s no straight cash. Mistplay puts the average wait for a first payout at 3 hours. What it won’t show you up front is the minimum, or what a point is worth.
- The catch
- You’ll verify your ID before any gift card comes through. Switch from Android to the iPhone app and your points stay behind.
Worth it? Only if gift cards are fine and you’re on Android. Want PayPal cash? Keep reading.

7 apps like Mistplay that pay real cash
1.Freecash
Best for: low minimum and fast PayPal
- What it is
- Probably the closest thing to Mistplay that pays actual cash. Games are the big category, with app trials and surveys on the side.
- What you do
- Install a game from the offers list. Each milestone you hit, like a certain level, drops coins in your balance.
- How much it pays
- The first withdrawal is the annoying one: $5 to $20 depending on your country, plus ID verification. Every one after that can be as low as $5 to PayPal, and it’s usually instant. Finish one offer and there’s a $10 welcome bonus on top.
- The catch
- Selfie plus photo ID before that first payout. Age 16 and up.
Worth it? Yes if you’re done with gift-card-only apps. Start here.
2.Branded
Best for: a clear $5 minimum
- What it is
- A games and apps wall where reaching a level in a game earns you points.
- What you do
- Grab a game from Branded’s list, play to the level it names, then wait for the points.
- How much it pays
- Every 500 points is $5, and $5 is all you need to cash out to PayPal, your bank or a gift card. Joining drops 100 points in right away. Branded’s own estimate for members is $5 to $100 a month.
- The catch
- Game points take around a week to show up. The game offers on this link are US only.
Worth it? Yes if a small, published minimum matters most to you. Just don’t expect same-day money.

3.Swagbucks
Best for: the lowest gift card cash-out
- What it is
- Prodege’s points site. 100 SB equals $1, and games are one of several ways to earn.
- What you do
- Hit gameplay goals in the Games tab, or mix in surveys and shopping.
- How much it pays
- 300 SB ($3) gets you a gift card, the lowest bar on this page. PayPal cash lands in 2 to 5 business days. About that $10 welcome bonus: you only get it after spending $25 in Swagbucks’ shop in your first 30 days.
- The catch
- Small points per task. Your PayPal account has to match your Swagbucks name and email.
Worth it? Only if you want the smallest possible cash-out or you shop online anyway. Freecash pays more for the same kind of games.
4.KashKick
Best for: US players who want straight cash
- What it is
- A cash rewards app for the US that leans hard on games.
- What you do
- Play its game offers to each milestone. Surveys and deals fill in the gaps.
- How much it pays
- $10 gets you a PayPal or gift card withdrawal. Someone on staff approves it, usually inside a day, 1 to 3 business days at most in the normal case.
- The catch
- Your game money hangs in pending for anywhere from 1 to 31 days (14 is about average). US residents 18 and older only.
Worth it? Only if you don’t mind waiting. Hitting $10 is easy. Seeing it takes a while.
5.Testerup
Best for: bigger game goals
- What it is
- A game testing app. You play new mobile games to set goals, and there are surveys too.
- What you do
- Pick a game, check the reward shown, play it to the goals. Quick tasks run 15 to 20 minutes, while the bigger goals take days.
- How much it pays
- $10 welcome bonus for new accounts. Payouts go to PayPal, Venmo (US), a Visa virtual card or an Amazon gift card, usually within 24 hours and no longer than 3 business days.
- The catch
- Cash out to PayPal or Venmo and 5% comes off. You have to be 18, and there’s a face check on the first payout.
Worth it? Yes if you’d rather grind one game for a bigger reward. Take the gift card or Visa card to skip the 5% cut.
6.Bigcash
Best for: short offers
- What it is
- A coin-based rewards app where 250 coins is $1.
- What you do
- Knock out short offers: games, app installs, surveys. Bigcash puts most at 5 to 10 minutes.
- How much it pays
- Cash out to PayPal in set amounts, a gift card or Bitcoin. The App Store listing promises payment within 36 hours. Up to $170 on one offer is Bigcash’s own claim.
- The catch
- The minimum isn’t fixed: Bigcash can raise it for your account. Coins can also get clawed back if an advertiser flags your play. Best on your phone.
Worth it? Yes if you want bite-size offers on your phone. Play the games for real.
7.Prograd
Best for: $5 on day one (US)
- What it is
- A US-only rewards app built around games and offers.
- What you do
- Join, take the $5 gift, then work through an offer one goal at a time.
- How much it pays
- Sign-up alone is worth $5. Payouts go to PayPal or a Visa card. The up to $1,200 offers Prograd advertises are the long ones.
- The catch
- No posted minimum, and payouts can take 7 working days to process. US only.
Worth it? Yes if you’re in the US and like starting with money already in your account.
What about the “win real money” game apps?
You’ll see solitaire, bingo, dominoes and bowling apps pop up next to Mistplay in the app stores, promising cash prizes. Those are cash tournaments. You pay an entry fee and play strangers for a pot, and you can lose it.
That’s not how Mistplay works, and it’s not earning. Nothing like that is on this list. The longer guide on which game apps really pay out goes through the difference.
How to not waste your time on these
Play one game per app, not five. Points only pay when you finish goals, and half-finished games pay nothing.
Check the same game on two apps. The same title often pays different amounts on Freecash, Testerup and Bigcash, so look before you install.
Cash out the first time you can. It proves the app pays you, and it gets the ID check out of the way.
And if gift cards are fine for you, aim them where you’ll spend them: Steam codes for PC games or Google Play credit for Android.
FAQ
Is there an app like Mistplay that pays cash?
Yes. Freecash, KashKick, Branded, Testerup, Bigcash and Prograd all pay PayPal cash for playing games. Mistplay’s PayPal option is a gift card, not a cash transfer.
Which app like Mistplay has the lowest cash-out?
Swagbucks, with gift cards from $3. For PayPal cash, Freecash goes down to $5 after your first withdrawal, and Branded’s minimum is $5.
Is there a Mistplay for iPhone?
Yes, there’s a newer iPhone app now, but your points don’t carry over between Android and iPhone. Freecash, Swagbucks, Testerup and KashKick all work on iPhone too.
Why does Mistplay need my ID?
Fraud. Gift cards are basically cash, so Mistplay now verifies every player before redeeming. Freecash and Testerup run a similar check the first time you cash out.
Only care about cash? Here’s every app that cashes out to PayPal, plus a wider list of money apps worth keeping on your phone with surveys and gig apps mixed in. Or browse the side hustles section.
