Most “win real money” game apps in the app stores are cash tournaments. You put money in to play bingo or solitaire against strangers, and you can lose it. That’s not earning, so none of those are on this list.
The apps below are free. You install a game they’re paying for, play it to the goal they set, and they pay you for the time. Here’s what each one pays and what the catch is.

The 7 game apps that actually pay
1.Freecash
Best for: fast PayPal cash-outs
- What it is
- A rewards site and app that pays you for playing games, trying apps, surveys and other offers.
- What you do
- Pick a game offer, install it, and play until you hit the milestones listed. Coins land as you hit each one.
- How much it pays
- You get a $10 welcome bonus once you finish your first offer. Cash out by PayPal, gift cards or crypto. Your first withdrawal needs an ID check and a $5 to $20 minimum depending on where you live. After that, PayPal is $5, and most PayPal, crypto and gift card withdrawals are instant.
- The catch
- That first cash-out means a selfie and your ID. You also need to be 16 or older.
Worth it? Yes if you want the quickest PayPal money of any app here. Do the ID check early so it’s not holding up your first cash-out.
2.Testerup
Best for: testing new games
- What it is
- An app that pays you to test mobile games and take surveys.
- What you do
- Choose a game from the offer list and play it to the goals shown. Testerup says a task usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, but bigger game goals mean coming back to the game for a few days.
- How much it pays
- New accounts get a $10 welcome bonus, and every offer shows what it pays before you start. Cash out to PayPal, Venmo (US only), a Visa virtual card or an Amazon gift card. PayPal and Venmo payouts lose 5%, the card and the gift card don’t. Payouts usually arrive within 24 hours, up to 3 business days.
- The catch
- You have to be 18, and your first payout goes through a face check.
Worth it? Yes if you already play mobile games and don’t mind sticking with one for a while. Pick the gift card or Visa card if you want every cent.
3.Bigcash
Best for: quick offers on your phone
- What it is
- A rewards app that pays coins for games, apps, surveys and offers. 250 coins = $1.
- What you do
- Pick an offer and play or finish it. Bigcash says most take 5 to 10 minutes.
- How much it pays
- Cash out to PayPal, gift cards or Bitcoin. Bigcash claims up to $170 per offer and more than $20M paid out. Those are Bigcash’s own numbers. Its App Store listing says payments are sent within 36 hours.
- The catch
- Bigcash can raise your cash-out threshold based on how you use the account, and it can take coins back if an advertiser says you didn’t really play. Best on your phone.
Worth it? Yes if you’re on your phone and want short offers. Actually play the games you install, or the coins can get pulled.

4.KashKick
Best for: US players
- What it is
- A US-only rewards site and app that pays cash for games, surveys and deals.
- What you do
- Play a game until you hit its milestones, or fill gaps with surveys and offers.
- How much it pays
- Cash out by PayPal or gift cards once you have $10. Staff review each withdrawal, typically within 1 to 3 business days, and most get approved within a day.
- The catch
- Game earnings sit as pending for 1 to 31 days, about 14 days on average, before you can touch them. US only, 18 and up.
Worth it? Only if you’re patient. The money’s real, but it shows up a couple of weeks after you play.
5.Branded
- What it is
- Branded’s games and apps wall: you try popular games and apps and earn points for them.
- What you do
- Install a game from the list and reach the level it asks for.
- How much it pays
- You get 100 points for joining, and 500 points is $5. Game offers usually credit in about 7 days. Branded says most members make $5 to $100 a month.
- The catch
- That week-long wait for game points. The game offers through this link are for US players.
Worth it? Only as a second app. It’s fine for stacking a few game offers, but Freecash and Testerup pay out faster.
6.Swagbucks
- What it is
- A rewards site and app that pays points (SB) for games, surveys, shopping and deals.
- What you do
- Play games to hit the gameplay goals in its Games section, and take surveys or shop if you want more.
- How much it pays
- 100 SB = $1. Gift cards start at 300 SB, which is $3. PayPal cash takes 2 to 5 business days. The $10 welcome bonus needs a $25 purchase through Swagbucks’ shop within 30 days, so it’s not free on sign-up.
- The catch
- Points per task are small, and your PayPal name and email have to match your Swagbucks account.
Worth it? Only if you’ll also use the shopping cash back. For games alone, the first three apps pay better.
7.Mistplay
Best for: Android gamers
- What it is
- A loyalty app that gives you points for playing mobile games, swapped for gift cards.
- What you do
- Play and level up in games from its catalog of 350+ titles.
- How much it pays
- Gift cards only: Amazon, Visa, PayPal, Starbucks and DoorDash are on the list. PayPal comes as a gift card, not a straight transfer. Mistplay says the average time to a first payout is 3 hours. It doesn’t publish how many points make a dollar.
- The catch
- Everyone now goes through an ID check before redeeming. Points don’t move between Android and the newer iPhone app.
Worth it? Only if you’re on Android and happy with gift cards. If you want cash, use Freecash.
Can you win real money instantly with game apps?
Short version: you can get paid fast, but you can’t get paid instantly for playing.
Every app here pays when you hit a goal, and goals take time. A level 10 offer might take an evening. A big board goal can take a week. Then some apps hold the money (KashKick about 14 days on average, Branded about 7) before you can cash out.
The fastest setup is Freecash: finish an offer, pass the ID check once, and most PayPal withdrawals go through right away after that. Testerup is next, usually within 24 hours.
And the apps that promise instant cash for bingo or solitaire? You’re paying entry money to play strangers. Some people win. Plenty lose. Skip them if the goal is extra money.

How to pick one
Want PayPal cash fast? Start with Freecash and Testerup. They’re the two with the clearest payout times.
Mostly on your phone? Add Bigcash. On Android, Mistplay is fine if gift cards work for you.
Here’s the trick that makes these pay: sign up for two or three, compare what each one pays for the same game, and run the best offer for a few days. Same game, different apps, different payouts. And don’t install five games at once. Finishing one goal beats starting five.
If you want more than games, the bigger list of apps that pay you real money covers surveys and gig apps too. For gift card apps like Mistplay, see low cash out apps like Mistplay, and if PayPal is the point, here are the apps that pay through PayPal. Gamers saving up for a new title can also check ways to get free Steam codes or free Google Play credit. More ideas live in side hustles.
FAQ
Which game app pays the most?
It depends on the game, so check more than one. Bigcash claims up to $170 per offer, and Testerup shows what each offer pays before you start. The same game can pay different amounts on different apps.
Do game apps really pay real money?
Yes, the ones on this list pay real money through PayPal or gift cards. Mistplay is the exception on cash: it pays in gift cards only, including a PayPal gift card.
Do I have to deposit money to play?
No. Everything here is free to join. If an app asks you to deposit money to enter a match, it’s a cash tournament, not a rewards app.
Why do some apps ask for my ID?
To stop fraud before they pay out. Freecash checks ID before your first withdrawal, Testerup does a face check before the first payout, and Mistplay now checks everyone before they redeem.
