These gig economy delivery services do pay their drivers a base pay but they still rely on tips to make any real sort of supplemental income. So how much should you tip Caviar Couriers? Let's find out.

The short answer is that you are supposed to tip Caviar Couriers on the Caviar app because it's simply proper etiquette. Just like other food delivery services, it's important to leave your courier a tip.
It is important to note that Caviar makes tipping optional. You can choose to tip your courier with cash when they deliver or add it at the checkout screen on the Caviar app.
Do Caviar Drivers See Tip?
Caviar drivers can see the tip you choose during the checkout page. But you can still remove it after the delivery of your food (up to 2 hours). You can also choose to tip your Caviar driver up to this same time frame.
How Much to Tip Caviar Drivers?
The proper etiquette for tipping Caviar Couriers is 10% to 15% for their service. The Caviar app provides you with the option to tip anywhere up from 10%, 15% and 18% for the standard order.
How Much Do Caviar Drivers Make?
Caviar drivers make anywhere from $16 to $34 per hour as a Caviar delivery driver. According to user-reported data on Glassdoor, the average Caviar Courier makes about $16 per hour on the platform before tips and bonuses are factored in. Indeed shows that a Caviar Courier earns $24.99 per hour on average.
For reference, jobs like Instacart or other apps like DoorDash pay, on average, less than Caviar Couriers.
Caviar pays couriers once every week via direct deposit. They do not have to pay any fees for getting paid.
It's also important to note that Caviar now is a part of DoorDash. When Caviar Drivers sign up they can receive either Caviar or DoorDash delivery opportunities.
