10 Best Weekend Jobs in 2026 (and How Fast Each One Pays)

The short answer

The best weekend job is the one you can actually start by Saturday. Freecash and Testerup have no application to wait on and pay you for stuff you do from your couch.

Delivery apps like DoorDash and Amazon Flex pay more, but they need a background check first, so sign up now and work next weekend.

Weekend jobs you can start tonight

No application and no car needed. These won’t replace a paycheck, but they pay out fast once you hit the minimum.

1.Freecash

Start tonight, from the couch

What it is
A rewards site and app that pays you for playing games, trying apps and taking surveys.
What you do
Pick an offer, finish it, collect the cash. You can do it in front of the TV on a Saturday night.
How much it pays
Your first offer unlocks a $10 welcome bonus. The first withdrawal minimum is $5 to $20 depending on where you live, then $5 for PayPal after that. Most PayPal, crypto and gift card withdrawals are instant.
The catch
You’ll need to verify your ID with a selfie before the first payout. You have to be 16 or older.

Worth it? Yes if you want something that pays this weekend with no application and no car.

Try Freecash

2.Testerup

Start tonight, test games for cash

What it is
An app that pays you to test mobile games and take surveys.
What you do
Pick a game or task, hit the goal, get paid. Each offer shows its reward before you start, and most tasks take 15 to 20 minutes.
How much it pays
$10 welcome bonus. Cash out by PayPal, Venmo (U.S.), a Visa virtual card or an Amazon gift card. PayPal and Venmo payouts lose 5%, the card options don’t. Money usually lands within 24 hours, up to 3 business days.
The catch
You do a face check before your first payout, and you need to be 18.

Worth it? Yes if you’ve got a free afternoon and a phone. Take the Amazon card or Visa card to skip the 5% cut.

Try Testerup

Weekend delivery gigs

You pick your own hours on all of these, so Saturday and Sunday are yours to work. The tradeoff is the wait. Each one runs a background check before your first delivery.

3.DoorDash

Best for: car owners who want to set their own hours

What it is
Delivering restaurant, grocery and convenience orders as a Dasher.
What you do
Open the Dasher app, accept the offers you want and deliver them. Car, scooter or motorcycle, and bikes in some cities.
How much it pays
Base pay of $2 to $10+ per offer, plus Peak Pay and other promos, plus 100% of tips. Weekly direct deposit usually shows up by Wednesday night. Fast Pay gets you the money once a day for $1.99, or free with DoorDash’s Crimson card.
The catch
Some offers pay as little as $2 before tips. You need an SSN for the background check, and you must be 18 (19 in some states, 21 in California).

Worth it? Yes if you have a car and want to work whenever you open the app. Skip the cheap offers.

4.Uber Eats

Best for: no car (bike or on foot in some cities)

What it is
Delivering food, groceries and packages through the Uber Driver app.
What you do
Go online, take the requests you like, deliver by car, scooter, bike or on foot depending on your city.
How much it pays
Base fare plus promotions plus 100% of tips, and you see the fare before you accept. Weekly deposit is automatic, or Instant Pay up to 6 times a day for $1.25 a cash-out.
The catch
Instant Pay costs $1.25 each time unless you use the Uber Pro Card. Bike and walking delivery need you to be 18, car delivery 19 (21 in California and New York State).

Worth it? Yes if you don’t have a car, since bike and on-foot delivery are options in some cities.

Sign up for Uber Eats

5.Amazon Flex

Best for: booking your weekend ahead of time

What it is
Delivering Amazon packages in your own car, in blocks you reserve.
What you do
Book delivery blocks up to a week ahead, or grab same-day ones, then run the route.
How much it pays
Amazon says most drivers earn $18 to $25 an hour, with a guaranteed $15 to $19 per scheduled hour depending on where you live, plus tips. You pick your payday. Cashing out to a bank account is free (same or next business day), or 50 cents for faster access.
The catch
Higher bar than food apps: you must be 21 with a 4-door midsize sedan or bigger, and blocks can be scarce in some areas.

Worth it? Yes if you’re 21 with a 4-door car. It’s the only gig here that posts an hourly range, and you can lock in Saturday on Monday.

Apply on Amazon Flex

6.Shipt

Best for: people who don’t mind grocery stores

What it is
Shopping and delivering grocery and household orders. Shipt is owned by Target.
What you do
Grab orders in the app, shop the list, drop it at the customer’s door.
How much it pays
Offer pay based on the estimated time and effort, plus bonuses and 100% of tips. Shipt doesn’t post pay figures. Direct deposit every Friday for the week before, or Instant Pay up to 3 times a day.
The catch
Instant Pay doesn’t unlock until you’ve had one normal weekly payout. You need a car you’re insured on, a U.S. license and an SSN.

Worth it? Only if you like shopping. You can’t check the pay until offers show up.

Shifts, tasks and pet sitting

These pay for a skill or a set block of time instead of per order. Two of them charge you to get in, so read the catch.

7.Instawork

Best for: a set shift instead of chasing orders

What it is
An app for picking up hourly shifts at local businesses.
What you do
Browse shifts near you, book one for Saturday, show up, work it.
How much it pays
Up to $30 an hour. Instawork says the U.S. average across all jobs is over $20 an hour. Eligible shifts pay instantly.
The catch
Up to $30 is a ceiling, not a promise. You get vetted first (background check and phone screen), and it’s not in every city.

Worth it? Yes if you’d rather know your hourly before you leave the house. No cost to get started.

Apply on Instawork

8.TaskRabbit

Best for: handy people

What it is
A marketplace for local odd jobs like furniture assembly, moving help, mounting and cleaning.
What you do
Pick your skills, draw your work area, set your weekend availability and take the tasks you want.
How much it pays
You set your own hourly rate and minimums. The client fees don’t come out of your pay, and tips are 100% yours.
The catch
There’s a $25 registration fee you don’t get back, and paying it doesn’t guarantee you get in. The Tasker app is rated 3.0 on the App Store.

Worth it? Only if you own a drill and know how to use it. You set the rate, not the app.

Become a Tasker

9.Rover

Best for: dog people

What it is
A marketplace where you run your own dog walking, drop-in, sitting or boarding gig.
What you do
Set up a profile, set your rates, get booked by pet owners. Weekend boarding and walks are a natural fit.
How much it pays
You set your own rates and keep 80%. Rover takes 20% per booking. Your pay shows up 2 days after the job and then goes to your bank, which can take up to 5 business days.
The catch
You pay a $49 to $79 profile review fee up front, depending on where you live, and pass a background check.

Worth it? Only if you actually love dogs. Count that fee against your first bookings.

Apply on Rover

Weekend freelancing

If you can write or design, you can sell it on the weekends. It’s slow to start and doesn’t pay right away.

10.Fiverr

Best for: selling a skill from home

What it is
A marketplace where you sell a service, like writing or design, as a fixed-price Gig.
What you do
Post your Gig, take orders, do the work over the weekend, deliver.
How much it pays
You keep 80% of each order plus all tips. Money clears in 14 days, then PayPal withdrawals are free.
The catch
It’s not fast money. New sellers wait on the first orders, and then wait two weeks for the cash.

Worth it? Only if you have a skill people pay for. It builds over months, not one weekend.

Start selling on Fiverr

How to pick your weekend job

Need money by Sunday? Freecash or Testerup. Nothing else here skips the application.

Have a car and want the most per hour? Apply to Amazon Flex and DoorDash today. Book Flex blocks for Saturday once you’re in, and fill the gaps with DoorDash.

No car? Uber Eats on a bike, or Instawork shifts if you can get a ride.

Want a regular weekend income that grows? Rover or TaskRabbit. Both cost money to start, and both let you raise your rate once the reviews come in.

Weekend jobs FAQ

What weekend job pays the most?

Of the ones here, Amazon Flex is the only one that posts an hourly range: $18 to $25 for most drivers. Instawork shifts go up to $30 an hour. TaskRabbit and Rover let you set your own rate, so what you make there comes down to you and your reviews.

What can I do on weekends without a car?

Freecash and Testerup from home, Uber Eats by bike or on foot where your city allows it, and Fiverr if you have a skill to sell. Instawork shifts work too if you can get there.

Can I make money this weekend if I sign up today?

Freecash and Testerup are your best shot, since there’s no application. Testerup payouts can take up to 3 business days, though. The delivery apps and Instawork all run a background check first, so plan on next weekend for those.
