$60 is usually a specific thing. A phone bill, a tank of gas plus groceries, the gap before payday. So let’s plan for it like one.
The 3-day plan
- Day 1: Sign up for Testerup and Freecash, start the first offer on each, and do Freecash’s ID check right away. Then list two things you don’t use on Facebook Marketplace.
- Day 2: Keep going on whichever app pays you best for your time, and request your Testerup payout so it has time to arrive. Answer every buyer. If you’re approved for Grubhub or DoorDash, work the dinner rush.
- Day 3: Cash out Freecash (mostly instant to PayPal once you’re verified) and meet your buyers.
Will it hit $60? With one decent sale, probably. Without one, it depends on the offers you get, and you might land closer to $40.
What to use for each day
Testerup
Day 1: start it first
- What it is
- An app that pays you to test mobile games and do surveys.
- What you do
- Start a game goal on day 1 so it has time to finish. Rewards are shown up front, so pick ones you can realistically reach by day 2.
- How much it pays
- $10 welcome bonus. Cash out to a Visa virtual card, Amazon gift card, PayPal or Venmo (US), usually within 24 hours, up to 3 business days. PayPal and Venmo take 5% off the top.
- The catch
- Up to 3 business days means you request the payout on day 2, not day 3. There’s a face check the first time, and you need to be 18.
Worth it? Yes. Free $10, and it’s the one that needs the head start.
Freecash
Day 3: your fastest cash-out
- What it is
- A rewards site and app that pays for games, app trials, surveys and offers.
- What you do
- Unlock the $10 with a short offer on day 1. Spend days 2 and 3 on offers that pay more.
- How much it pays
- $10 welcome bonus after your first offer. Your first withdrawal needs ID and $5 to $20 depending on your region. After that, PayPal starts at $5 and most PayPal, crypto and gift card withdrawals are instant, which makes it your day 3 payday.
- The catch
- Security checks can hold a withdrawal up to 30 minutes, and the first one needs a selfie plus your ID. Do that part on day 1.
Worth it? Yes. It’s the only app here you can cash out of on the day you need it.
Grubhub
Day 2: the dinner shift
- What it is
- Grubhub’s restaurant delivery gig, by car, motorcycle or bike.
- What you do
- Schedule delivery blocks ahead of time, or pick up deliveries on short notice.
- How much it pays
- Base pay that accounts for mileage, delivery type and time spent, plus 100% of tips and bonuses from missions. Earnings are available 15 minutes after a delivery, and you can Instant Cash Out to your bank.
- The catch
- Grubhub doesn’t publish pay figures or what Instant Cash Out costs. You need to be 18 (21 in Las Vegas) and pass a background check, so you can’t start tonight if you’re new.
Worth it? Only if you’re approved already, or want it ready for next time. Those 15-minute earnings make it a good day 2.

Bill due tomorrow? Look at a paycheck advance first
If paying late is going to cost you extra, a three-day hustle might be the wrong tool. Borrowing against your own paycheck can be the cleaner fix, as long as you know what it costs.
Current Paycheck Advance
For: a bill that can’t wait three days
- What it is
- A banking app. Its Paycheck Advance lets eligible customers get part of their pay before payday.
- What you do
- Open an account, see what advance the app offers you, and request it.
- How much it pays
- Up to $1,000 before payday for eligible customers, with no credit check. It’s free if you can wait up to 3 days. Instant access costs an Instant Access Fee that the signup page doesn’t list, and it can take up to an hour.
- The catch
- It’s your own paycheck early, not new money. The amount you get is whatever the app shows you, which may be a lot less than $1,000. And Current is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank.
Worth it? Only if a late bill would cost you more than the advance does. Then it beats scrambling for three days.
More options for a real money emergency are in what to do when you need money now.
Too slow for a $60 deadline
These are legit, but none of them pays inside three days:
Fiverr holds your money for 14 days after an order is done and keeps 20% of every order. Upwork releases hourly pay the Wednesday after your billing week, and you pay for Connects to apply. UserTesting usually sends payment 14 days after a test. KashKick earnings sit pending for 1 to 31 days, about 14 on average.
Great for next month. Not for this weekend.
FAQ
How can I make $60 in one day?
A delivery shift you’re already approved for, or selling something worth $60 to someone local. Apps rarely get you there in one day.
Can I get $60 instantly from an app?
Not by earning it. If you’re eligible, Current’s paycheck advance can arrive within an hour for an Instant Access Fee, or free within 3 days. That’s an advance on your own pay, though.
Smaller target? Making $50 fast leans on selling one thing. Bigger? Here’s how to make $100 fast. And check what’s paying right now, the list of apps that pay you real money, or more side hustles.
