7 Apps Like DoorDash to Make Money Delivering in 2026

The short answer

Uber Eats is the closest app to DoorDash and the one to add first. Grubhub fills the gaps.

Done with restaurant waits? Shipt and Instacart pay for grocery runs, and Spark, Amazon Flex and Roadie are the package side.

The best apps like DoorDash to run alongside it or instead: Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, Shipt and more, and how each one pays next to DoorDash.

Most Dashers don’t quit DoorDash for another app. They add one. Two apps open means less time parked waiting for a ping, and you get to pick the better offer every time.

Here’s what you’re comparing against. DoorDash pays base pay of $2 to $10+ per offer plus 100% of tips, shows a guaranteed minimum on the offer screen, deposits weekly, and charges $1.99 every time you use Fast Pay. Every app below is measured against that.

The 7 best apps like DoorDash

1.Uber Eats

Best for: the second app every Dasher should have

What it is
Uber’s food, grocery and package delivery, run through the Uber Driver app.
What you do
Same drill as dashing: accept, pick up, drop off. The difference is you can also deliver on foot or by bike in cities that allow it.
How much it pays
Base fare, promotions and 100% of tips, with the full fare (upfront tip included) on screen before you accept. It’s a weekly transfer unless you use Instant Pay, which runs $1.25 a cash-out and works up to 6 times a day. The Uber Pro Card makes payouts automatic and free.
The catch
Each cash-out costs less than Fast Pay, but at 18 you can’t use a car here yet (19+, 21 in California and New York State).

Worth it? Yes. Run it alongside DoorDash and take whichever offer pays better.

2.Grubhub

Best for: Dashers who want a schedule

What it is
Grubhub’s delivery gig for drivers and bikers.
What you do
Book delivery blocks ahead of time, or jump on at short notice, by car, motorcycle or bike.
How much it pays
Base pay that accounts for mileage, delivery type and time spent, plus 100% of tips and mission bonuses. Money’s ready 15 minutes after each delivery, by direct deposit or Instant Cash Out.
The catch
Grubhub posts no pay figures and doesn’t say what Instant Cash Out costs. You’ll also need to be 21 in Las Vegas.

Worth it? Only as your second or third app. It’s good for filling dead time between DoorDash orders in a busy market.

Apply on Grubhub

3.Instacart

Best for: trading restaurants for grocery stores

What it is
Grocery shopping and delivery as a full-service shopper, an independent contractor like a Dasher. In-store shoppers are employees.
What you do
Pick a batch in the Shopper app: full service (shop and deliver), shop only, or delivery only.
How much it pays
What a batch pays depends on the drive, the number and weight of items, and the expected shop time. Tips are all yours. Qualifying heavy orders get at least $2 extra, and if a customer zeroes out your tip without reporting a problem, Instacart covers up to $10 of it. Paid weekly, or cash out instantly.
The catch
Shopping a full cart takes longer than grabbing a bag off a counter, and pay rules vary by city.

Worth it? Yes if you’re sick of waiting on restaurants. That tip backstop is a nice touch, too.

4.Shipt

Best for: grocery runs with a set payday

What it is
Shipt (owned by Target) pays shoppers to shop and deliver grocery and household orders, and drivers to run package routes.
What you do
Accept an order, shop it, bring it to the door. Or skip the shopping and take package routes.
How much it pays
Offers are priced on how long and how much work the order should be. Bonuses and every tip dollar come on top. The weekly deposit hits Fridays, and Instant Pay works 3 times a day after that first one.
The catch
No Instant Pay until your first weekly payout clears. And unlike DoorDash, there’s no bike option: you need a valid US license, auto insurance and a car you’re insured on.

Worth it? Yes if you have a reliable car and want grocery orders as a DoorDash backup.

Try Shipt

5.Spark Driver

Best for: daytime hours

What it is
Walmart’s driver app for delivery-only and shop-and-deliver trips.
What you do
Turn on Spark Now in your zone and take trips from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Any car that can deliver safely works. Scooters and motorcycles don’t.
How much it pays
Trip pay goes up with distance, order size and extras like heavy items or apartments. Incentives and confirmed tips (all 100%) come on top. Instant or weekly payouts, depending on how you set the account up.
The catch
No posted rates, and if your zone is full you wait for a spot.

Worth it? Only if your zone is open. If it is, it’s an easy add for the hours you’re not dashing.

Apply on Spark Driver

6.Amazon Flex

Best for: a posted hourly range

What it is
Amazon’s package and grocery delivery gig, worked in blocks you book.
What you do
Reserve blocks up to a week ahead or take same-day offers, then run the route in your own car.
How much it pays
Amazon says most drivers earn $18 to $25 an hour, with at least $15 to $19 per scheduled hour guaranteed depending on location, plus 100% of tips where customers can tip. Pick your own paydays. Cashout to the Flex Debit Card is free.
The catch
21+ and a 4-door midsize car or bigger, gas is on you, and blocks can be hard to get.

Worth it? Yes if you qualify. DoorDash pays per offer, Flex tells you the hourly range up front.

Apply on Amazon Flex

7.Roadie

Best for: packages instead of food

What it is
Roadie’s driver app pays you to deliver Gigs (packages and items) in your regular car.
What you do
Pick up a gig and drop it off. Multi-stop deliveries pay more.
How much it pays
Up to $12 per local trip, by Roadie’s numbers, and it varies by gig. Weekly or instant payouts.
The catch
No hourly number, and that $12 is the top end for a local trip.

Worth it? Yes if you’re 18+ and done with restaurant counters.

Not dashing yet?

If you’re starting from zero, start with DoorDash itself. It’s in 7,000+ US cities and takes drivers at 18 in most states.

DoorDash

Best for: your first delivery app

What it is
You sign up as a Dasher and deliver food, groceries, convenience and pet store stuff on your own schedule.
What you do
Open the Dasher app, hit dash, and take the offers you like. Car, scooter or motorcycle, and bikes in some cities.
How much it pays
$2 to $10+ base pay on each offer, with Peak Pay, Challenges, Delivery Streaks and Boosts on top when they run, and all of your tips. Weekly deposit usually by Wednesday night, Fast Pay once a day for $1.99, or free instant deposits with the Crimson card.
The catch
Plenty of offers sit near the $2 floor, so you’ll decline a lot.

Worth it? Yes if you’re 18+ (19 in 13 states, 21 in California). It’s the easiest one to start on, then add an app from this list.

Running two apps without losing your mind

Turn both on, take the better offer, and pause the other app while you’re carrying an order. Never accept two you can’t get there on time. Late food hurts your tips, and tips are 100% yours on every app here.

Watch what you spend cashing out, too. Fast Pay at $1.99 and Instant Pay at $1.25 look tiny, but daily cash-outs add up quick. The free cards fix that: DoorDash Crimson, the Uber Pro Card, Instacart’s Shopper Rewards Card and the Amazon Flex Debit Card.

Want the tipping side of it? Here’s how DoorDash tipping works from the customer’s end, which tells you a lot about which orders are worth taking. And if you’d rather skip food entirely, these jobs like Amazon Flex are all packages and parcels.
